Sligo CountyTee: White/Sport Grey Short-Sleeve Unisex T-Shirt
County Sligo: Notta bitta bodder!
'Shlygo' is Yeats County – the childhood and spiritual home of William Butler Yeats. Much of Sligo has been immortalised by his words. The Irish translation of Sligo actually means 'place of shells', a reference to the abundant supply of shellfish from the river and its estuary. From megalithic times, the people of Sligo have sustained themselves largely on shellfish. You can still spot megalithic middens here – piles of shells cast away after consumption. It’s also renowned for its seaweed baths.
