Monaghan CountyTee: Black/Dark Grey Short-Sleeve Unisex T-Shirt
County Monaghan: Give 'er welly!
'Mawnihin' is the Drumlin County. Drumlin fields, which are elongated, oval-shaped hills, dominate Monaghan. The word Monaghan comes from the Irish Muineachán – 'the place of thickets (overgrown areas or hillocks). Monaghan is famed for its ancient Irish craft of lace-making, commonly known as Carrickmacross Lace. The village of Doohamlet in Monaghan is the birthplace of bog-snorkelling, and indeed the Irish Bog Snorkelling Championships. Snorkelling in a wetsuit in a murky ditch in the middle of the bog sounds like great fun….?!
